At 1,856 km², the Hohe Tauern National Park is the largest national park in the Alps. Its unique and pristine alpine natural and cultural landscape stretches from around 1,000 m above sea level up to 3,798 m at the summit of the Großglockner. It forms a beautiful holiday region with 19 villages in the south of the SalzburgerLand.
